Harsh reality: 28 children is killed by poverty every minute.
Some of the things Actionaid have achieved:
*In 2007 over 58,000 children and their communities were sponsored, raising £12.4 million
*8640 families in 216 villages helped back to work
*2000 homes rebuilt and temporary shelter provided for 190 villages
*50 villages received first aid and 143 communities trained in disaster preparedness.
There are many ways to help:

(For as little as 50p a day. You can stop anytime. Direct contact with child sponsoring and the village of the child. Updates of progress. Can even visit child. It's amazing what 50p a day can achieve for those who are less fortunate. If you are fortunate enough to sponsor a child then please contact them directly through their website. You can choose which country and child you would like to help.

Thanks to your kind donations and our commitment in doing our part to support a child we have been lucky enough to sponsor our own child and begin this amazing journey with her and her community. She is just 10 years old. Her name is Lucimara Pinto Pereira from Brazil, Paraiba in Northeast of Brazil.
